Delivery

At present, we only deliver to mainland UK and use different delivery services depending on the size, weight and fragility of the item.

The majority of our items are bespoke and unique, therefore they may no longer be available. We reserve the right to withdraw any item from sale at any time, even after an order has been placed. We will contact you as soon as possible in the event of your ordering an unavailable item.

Items in stock will be dispatched within 3 working days of when payment is received.

In the instance where we need to obtain a quote for the larger pieces of furniture we have included an enquiry button to make for a smooth transaction. Delivery of a larger item will be arranged with you directly.  

Delivery of all items is calculated based upon weight and will be totalled within the basket. 

If you wish to cancel an item you may do so within and up to 14 calendar days of placing the order. If the item has already been dispatched and needs returning to us, you are responsible for the delivery charges for the item's return. The return must be in the same packaging as when delivered and you are responsible for it's safe return to us. We aim to make refunds within 7 days of our receipt of returned items.

All delivery's will require a signature and the consumer is responsible for the acceptance of the goods being delivered. Any surcharges incurred for failed delivery attempts will be the responsibility of the consumer.

Where the consumer does not comply with our attempts to deliver the goods we may, at our discretion, cancel the entire or part of the order and charge the customer up to 25% of the total cost of the order to cover storage, shipping and any other charges incurred.

Delivery estimates are not guaranteed, however we will always keep you informed of any unforeseen delay.

Cancellation

If you wish to cancel an order you may do so in writing by emailing vintagef114@gmail.com as soon as possible.  We comply with the Distance Selling Regulations (updated June 2014), and therefore you may cancel an order up to 14 calendar days from the date of your purchase on our website. Delivery charges for returning the item to us will be at your own expense.

It is not possible to cancel an order once it has been dispatched.

Order acceptance

Our acceptance of your order resulting in the completion of the contract between you and VINTAGE FRENCH LIFESTYLE will take place on the dispatch of the items ordered by you, unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order or you have cancelled it in accordance with the cancellation terms above. Your order may not be accepted by us in the case that:

  • The item you ordered is unavailable

  • We cannot obtain authorisation for your payment

  • We identify an error in the item price or description

  • You are not eligible to purchase items from us as you fail to meet the criteria set out below

We reserve the right to reject any offer to purchase made by you at any time. We will take great care, in so far as it is in our power to do so, to keep the details of your order and payment secure but, in the absence of negligence on our part, we cannot be held liable for any loss you may suffer if a third party procures unauthorised access to any data you provide when accessing or ordering from the website.

You will not have any right at any time to cancel a contract/order for the supply of any products made to your bespoke requirements (e.g. using your own choice of materials or to your own measurements).

Item descriptions and photographs

Please be aware that not all vintage items are in perfect condition, due to their loved past. We endevour to make our descriptions and photographs as accurate as possible, however there may be a delay in any updates. It is advised that before any purchase of a vintage item you enquire for further details. We make every effort that images match the relevant item as closely as possible but the constraints of digital reproduction on different web browsers can cause colour depiction to deviate from the actual item.

Authorisation

You must confirm that the credit or debit card being used is yours. All credit/debit card holders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to or does not, for any reason, authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.

Refusal of Transaction and Eligibility to Purchase

We reserve the right to withdraw any products from this website at any time and/or remove or edit any materials or content on this website. We may refuse to process a transaction for any reason or refuse service to anyone at any time at our sole discretion. We will not be liable to you or any third party by reason of our withdrawing any item from this website whether or not that item has been sold; removing or editing any materials or content on the website, refusing to process a transaction or unwinding or suspending any transaction after processing has begun.

To be eligible to purchase items from this website and lawfully enter contracts on this website under English law you must:

  • Register by providing your real name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, payment details and any requested information.

  • Possess a valid credit or debit card issued by a bank acceptable to us.

  • Be over 18 years of age.

  • Stipulate a delivery address in the United Kingdom. Please note that PO Box numbers, hotels, and accommodation addresses are not acceptable.

By making an offer to buy an item, you specifically authorise us to transmit or to obtain information about you from third parties, including credit or debit card numbers or credit reports, to authenticate your identity, to validate your credit card, to obtain an initial credit card authorisation and to authorise individual purchase transactions.

Damages

Before we deliver, we will quality check everything to ensure your goodies leave us in perfect condition.

In the case of damages, please send photographs of the damage to the email address provided on the delivery note, within 48 hours of receiving the delivery.

If your item is being delivered via our quotation service, they will ask you to sign a Proof of Delivery note. Before signing this note, please thoroughly check your goods and CONTACT US WHILST THE DELIVERY DRIVER/S ARE WITH YOU. Any damaged items will be returned with the drivers and a refund issued. We cannot accept responsibility for any damage reported to us after you’ve signed the Proof of Delivery note.

Please note we will examine the returned Product(s) upon return to check its condition. Where we reasonably believe a defect was caused by you or your courier this may affect the amount of your refund.

If you are returning a product because it cannot be positioned in its intended position within your property (for example, if it will not fit up stairs or through doorways), you will be responsible for the return courier fee which will be deducted from the total amount refunded.

Refunds & Returns

We offer a 14-day exchange policy, providing the item(s) are in their original packaging, in their original & resalable condition & unused along with a receipt as proof of purchase. The goods must be in the same condition you received them. The only items excluded from this guarantee are pierced earrings, gift vouchers or any bespoke, vintage or damaged items (see above).

Without a proof of purchase we are unable to issue an exchange or a credit note.

In the event of a genuinely faulty item we will issue a refund (in accordance with the above - see damages).

PayPal Purchases can be exchanged in store for a credit note to the value of the item or exchanged for another item available in-store. Purchases made online via PayPal that are faulty and require a refund will need to be returned in the same way as they were received within 14 days of receiving your order. Unfortunately, we cannot refund to your PayPal account if you return items to a store
